Counseling Department Chair

kmoore03@forsyth.k12.ga.us

Extension: 411065

My name is Keisha Moore and I am the proud Counseling Department Chair of Lambert High School!

I am originally from Peekskill New York, but I was raised in Miami Florida.  Growing up I attended Miami Dade County Public Schools, which I am proud to say paved the way for my professional success.  I received my Bachelor of Science degree from St. John’s University, where I was also a full scholarship athlete in basketball.

After working in Corporate America for one year after undergrad, I pursued and obtained my Master’s degree in School Counseling from Clark Atlanta University. I’ve served as a Professional School Counselor on the high school level in Fulton County Schools for 14 years prior to embarking on this wonderful journey at Lambert in the Fall of 2018.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Casey, and our two wonderful children, Brighton and Braven. 😊 I also look forward to outings with family and friends, watching and attending sporting events, and playing rec league basketball.

My role as a Professional School Counselor has truly been rewarding and I’m excited to be working with students, teachers, the administrative team, and parents who are vested in educational success! My belief is to always encourage all students to strive to achieve their goals!

Wishing everyone a great school year!

Hi everyone! My name is Bianca Avila and I have been working with high school students for several years, but started my School Counseling career here at Lambert High School in 2020 – yes, mid-pandemic! I am originally from Chicago, where I was born and raised before making my transition to Georgia. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago and my Masters of Education in School Counseling from Georgia State University.

Before joining Lambert High School, I worked in higher education as an Undergraduate Admissions Counselor and Dual Enrollment Specialist.
