My name is Susan Bennett. I have had the pleasure of teaching at Cumming Elementary School for 23 years. I have taught in multiple grade levels. I currently teach ESOL. I love being a part of the CES Family and Cougar Nation! When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family.
My name is Asha Dalton. I began my teaching career here at Cumming Elementary in 2011. I have taught 2nd grade, 4th grade, and middle school. Cougar Nation is a special place to be, and there is nowhere else I would rather be a teacher. I know this school year is going to be great! I have a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree in Early Childhood Education. I hold endorsements in reading, gifted education, and ESOL. My husband and I have three-year-old twin boys and a dog named Luna.

My name is Kellie Durden, and this will be my 15th year as a part of Cougar Nation. I am a graduate of the University of South Florida, where I received my Bachelors Degree with an ESOL endorsement. I have taught first grade, third grade, Title I reading and math, EIP math, and ESOL. My husband and I have been married for 20 years and have three incredible boys!! I am so blessed to be a part of Cumming Elementary and Cougar Nation!
My name is Zoraida Sanchez and it is my honor and privilege to work with our ESOL population here at CES. As we begin with school this fall, my daughter will be starting her freshman year at UNG in the exercise science program and I will be finish up with grad school this upcoming May. Both of us will be busy with school and work but look forward to a new chapter in our lives. I look forward to working with all our loving families that are part of this wonderful community.
Over the last 20 years, I have taught kindergarten, EIP, and ESOL. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Georgia. I earned a Master of Arts degree in Elementary Education and an Education Specialist degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Piedmont College. I also hold endorsements in ESOL and Teacher Leadership. When I’m not teaching, I enjoy going to concerts, traveling with my husband, and caring for our cats.
I am so excited to start another wonderful year at CES! This year will be my fifteenth year teaching , my fifth year at CES, and my second year as an ESOL teacher. I graduated from the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!) with a bachelors degree in Elementary Education and Georgia State University with a masters in Curriculum and Instruction. My husband, Dan, and I live in Forsyth County with our four year old son, Henry, and dog, Bernie. I am looking forward to another great year at Cumming Elementary!
My name is Yvonne Zalewski and this is my 28th year of teaching, with most of those years in Forsyth County. I received an undergraduate degree from John Carroll University, Masters of Education from Ohio State University and Educational Specialist degree from Brenau University. I truly have a passion for teaching second language learners and helping instill a love of learning. I am looking forward to working with the ELL population at Cumming Elementary School. This is going to be a wonderful school year!
