This is my fourth year at Cumming Elementary and my 32nd year in education. I have my Bachelors's and Master's degrees in Elementary Education from the University of Florida with certifications in ESOL, Middle Grades ELA, Social Studies & Math, Teacher Support & Coaching, and Special Education. I’ve taught various levels from Pre-K thru college, been a Preschool Administrator, and worked with Pre-K and K teachers as a coach. I am married to my college sweetheart, Boris and we have three amazing boys. Boris A. lives and works in Washington, DC, Shane, a sophomore at UNG, and Jack, a senior at Lambert. I am so excited to be teaching ESOL this year and am looking forward to a wonderful year of learning.
I am Susan Bennett and I teach ESOL. I have had the pleasure of teaching at Cumming Elementary School for 24 years. I have taught in multiple grade levels. I currently teach ESOL for students in grades K-2. I love being a part of the CES Family and Cougar Nation! When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family.
My name is Asha Dalton. I began my teaching career here at Cumming Elementary in 2011. I have taught 2nd grade, 4th grade, and middle school. Cougar Nation is such a special place, and there is nowhere else I would rather be a teacher. I have a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree in Early Childhood Education. I hold endorsements in reading, gifted education, and ESOL. We are going to have a great school year together!
My name is Becky Ridings and I am an ESOL teacher at CES. I graduated from UGA with a B.S. in Early Childhood and also a M. Ed. in Early Childhood. I also hold endorsements in ESOL and reading. I am married to Sylvester and we have four wonderful children. I love being a part of Cougar Nation and I know you will too!!!!
This will be my 10th year at CES. For nine of the 10 years, I have had the privilege of supporting our ESOL students. I am a proud parent of a sophomore student at the University of North Georgia (Dahlonega) with a major in exercise science. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, exercising, and playing tennis.
I am so excited to start another wonderful year at CES! This year will be my sixteenth year teaching, my sixth year at CES, and my third year as an ESOL teacher. I graduated from the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!) with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Georgia State University with a masters in Curriculum and Instruction. My husband, Dan, and I live in Forsyth County with our five-year-old son, Henry, and our dog, Bernie. I am looking forward to another great year at Cumming Elementary!
I am so fortunate to be starting my 13th year at Cumming Elementary with a great staff and terrific students. This is my 25th year of teaching overall! I am married to my best friend, and we have two wonderful grown children, Jake who is a land surveyor, and Kara who works at Disney! My husband and I graduated from the University of Virginia (home of the 2019 NCAA basketball champions!), so we are huge Cavalier fans. My time away from school is spent reading good books, going to church, playing trivia and board games, and camping with my family.
