I graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelorof Science Degree in Communication in 1997. I graduated from GSU with a Master of Education Degree in Communication Disorders in 2000. My husband, Jeremy, and I have been married for 20 years. We have three children: Sydney, Ben, and Ryan. We have two active dogs: Jersey and Lyra. Hello! This is my first year at Cumming Elementary and I am an interrelated resource teacher. I am a graduate of Old Dominion University and prior to coming to Cumming Elementary, I taught Pre-Kindergarten for six years. I have also spent a year assisting with a skills-based autism class. My husband and I live in Forsyth County along with our twin 12-year-old boys. I love teaching and working with children! I am looking forward to a wonderful school year!

Hello, my name is Tonya Hanks. This is my 6th year teaching at Cumming Elementary. I started out at Cumming teaching 5th grade and moved into the IRR position 3 years ago. Before coming to CES, I spent 10 years teaching in another county. I graduated from the University of North Georgia with my Masters in Education and received my Educational Specialist degree from Piedmont College. My family is a very busy bunch! We love the outdoors and you will often find us hiking, spending time on the lake or playing sports. I look forward to another wonderful year with the fantastic students and staff at CES!!

My husband and I moved to Georgia with our four children in June 2016 from San Antonio, Texas. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on General Education, Special Education, and Kinesiology. I also have a Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Phoenix. I have been teaching for 19 years in various grade levels (Pre-K to young adults through age 22). I I have taught in both regular and special education classes, with the majority of my educational career as an Interrelated Teacher. Kenneth and I have been married for 36 years. We have a son, Andrew who is married to Mary (who both teach in the county), and a daughter Melissa who is married to Quinton (who live in Cartersville), and we have two grandsons, Jonah and Lucas, and a step-grandson, Jimmy. I have been married for over 6 years to my wonderful husband, Daniel. I am proud graduate of the University of Central Florida in Orlando. Go Knights! Before I became a speech-language pathologist, I was a classroom teacher for 7 years. I love the ocean and going to the beach as well as spending time with my family and friends.

I love working with students' communication skills at Cumming Elementary! I have worked here for 16 years and in the field of speech and language for 26 years. I earned a dual bachelor's degree in Deaf Education and Elementary Education from Flagler College and a Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology from Penn State. I also obtained an Educational Specialist degree from Lincoln Memorial University. My husband teaches science at Otwell Middle School and we have three children. Our oldest daughter works with refugees in Connecticut, our son works in the film industry in Atlanta, and our youngest daughter is a junior at UGA. They are all CES graduates!

My name is Lindsey Holmes and I am so excited to be an SLP here at Cumming Elementary, where I attended school as a little girl! I received my Bachelors of Science in Communication Disorders, as well as my Masters in Communication Disorders from Auburn University- War Eagle! I have been in the school setting for the last two years, and in private practice before that. My husband Jonathon, and I have been married for 5 years and have 2 dogs- Moose and Duke and 1 cat- Bella. I love cooking, reading, being outdoors, watching football, and collecting antiques. I have been at CES for 11 years and love being a Cumming Cougar! My degrees are in Education for Deaf and Hard of Hearing and Elementary Education. I have three daughters who all went to CES! Two are in college to become teachers and my youngest is at Otwell Middle. My husband teaches Automotive Technology at Forsyth Central High School. This is my 18th year in education, the last 14 have been at Cumming Elementary. I have a Specialist degree in Educational Leadership and hold certification in Early Childhood, Reading, Special Education (adapted and general curriculum-consultative), ESOL, Gifted, and Teacher Support Specialist. I am a native to Forsyth County with extensive family ties in education in Forsyth County as well.

I am married to Stan Redd who also works with Forsyth County Schools as an electrician. We have three wonderful grown children who all attended Cumming Elementary School!
