Hollie Gaerte

My name is Hollie Gaerte, and I am excited to be a part of the 4^th grade team! I have been teaching at VCE since 2020. I received my degree in Early Childhood Education with a reading endorsement from Kennesaw State University. I was born and raised in Tampa, Florida and moved to Georgia in 2002. My husband (Travis), son (Cameron), and I live in Cumming with our 2 dogs. During my free time, I enjoy watching my son play baseball, basketball, and golf, and spending time with our family and pups.

Stefani Jesse

Hello! I am Stefani Jesse and I am so excited to be at VCE!!  I recently completed my Masters in Education from Reinhardt University and have a bachelors degree from Kennesaw State University.  I also recently moved to Alpharetta from Atlanta and got married to my husband last summer! I can't wait to have a great year!!

Emily Konrad

Hi all!! My name is Emily Konrad and I am so excited to be officially joining the VCE team this year.  I recently graduated from the University of North Georgia with a Bachelors in Elementary and Special Education along with a reading endorsement.  I have grown up in Forsyth County and am so happy to be able to teach here at Vickery.  I have two kittens, Cookie and Peanut, who are my "babies."  When not at school, you'll find me spending time with friends, family, hiking, or cooking.  I am so excited for this upcoming school year!

Laura Mattox

Hi! My name is Laura Mattox.  I am so excited to join the amazing fourth grade team!  This is my second year back at VCE.  I was previously here from 1997-2003 as a first grade teacher.  This is my 17th year in education.  I hold a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Kennesaw State University.  As a math specialist, I have taught grades K-5.  As a general education teacher, I have taught first, second, fourth, and fifth grades. I have two daughters.  Henley is 18 and will begin her first year at UNG Dahlonega in August.  Harper is 16 and a rising junior at Cambridge High School.  We live in Milton with our six pets - three cats and three dogs!

Abbey Riggins

Hi there! My name is Abbey Riggins, and I am so excited to be joining the Vickery Creek family!  I recently graduated from Georgia College and State University with my degree in Early Childhood Education.  I grew up in Forsyth County, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to come back home and teach at Vickery!  When I am not in the classroom, you will find me hiking, reading, or spending time with family and friends! I am looking forward to an amazing year! 

Amy Salo

My name is Amy Salo, and I'm so excited to be teaching 4th grade again this year! I grew up in Georgia and Washington, and I’m a huge OSU fan…Go Bucks!!!  I graduated from Georgia State University with a degree in Early Childhood Education and also have my Master’s Degree and Gifted Endorsement. I enjoy spending time with my husband, my son, Ryan, who is in 10th grade and my daughter, Ansley, who is in 9th grade.  We love to go to Lake Lanier, travel, and spend time with our family and friends. I’m so excited for this upcoming school year!!
