Getting Ready for SchoolPreparing for KindergartenBeginning Kindergarten is an exciting and important time for children and their parents. Kindergarten is where children begin forming their earliest ideas about learning. It's important for school and families to partner to ensure that this is a positive experience for children. There are many ways to help prepare for this important time in your child's life.A few suggestions for beginning to prepare for kindergarten:Begin discussing school with your child.Talk calmly with your child and share a little about what they will be learning and doing.Take time to read a chidlren's book or books about beginning school with your child.Take time to shop for school supplies. Allow your student to join in the preparations for coming to school.Complete required process required by the school district.Participate in Kindergarten Orientation and Round up Activities at your assigned school.
