DeSana Middle School has a rich legacy of diversity, community involvement, and academic achievement. We will continue to build upon the strong foundation that has been established by students, staff, parents, and community partners. I believe that everything rises and falls on relationships and, “No significant learning occurs without a significant relationship”. My vision for DeSana Middle School is to foster a safe, connected, and thriving learning community for students and staff. My mission is to provide an unparalleled education for all students to succeed. I hope that our students, staff, and families will embrace the journey of middle school and that our students will discover and become the best version of themselves!

I hold a bachelor’s degree from Presbyterian College, a master’s degree, and an Ed Specialist’s degree from the University of Alabama. I spent 12 years in the classroom as a teacher of students with disabilities before becoming an assistant principal with Gwinnett County Public Schools. In 2016, I transferred to Forsyth County Schools as an assistant principal. This is the beginning of my 26th year in education.  I look forward to the opportunity to serve the DeSana Community and help your child achieve success no matter their passions or interests.
