I am a flexible, fun loving teacher in my 17th year of teaching! I have a specialist degree in Teacher Leadership with a gifted and reading endorsement and have experience teaching first through fifth grade. I have two handsome boys who are in 8th grade and 12th grade. One of my favorite aspects of teaching is building relationships with children. I am excited to get to know your child and have an exceptional school year!

I am excited to about starting another year of teaching here at Matt. I received my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education / Special Education from the University of North Georgia. I have a wonderful husband, Brian and we have three sons. I look forward to another great year at Matt!

My name is Taylor Chamlee and I am the K-2 MoID teacher at Matt Elementary. This will be my eighth year as a Mariner! Previously, I have taught 4th grade and Kindergarten. I have a BS in Early Childhood and Special Education, as well as a certification in Adapted Curriculum. My husband and I live in Cumming with our two daughters, Marlowe and Charleston. I'm looking forward to another great year at MES. It's going to be 180 days of discovery, achievement, and fun!

This is my 10th year teaching Special Education here at Matt Elementary, but I have worked in Special Education for over 16 years, first as a Paraprofessional. I graduated from Brenau University in 2013 after going back to finish my degree. I have taught IRR, MOID and Autism here at Matt Elementary. I am also one of the Special Ed. Department Chairs. I am happily married to my husband, David, who is a Spanish Teacher at North Forsyth Middle School, and we have 2 children, Aaron, who also works here at Matt as a Special Ed. Paraprofessional and Emily, who is a Psychology major at Kennesaw State. I am looking forward to another great year at Matt!

My name is Stacy Samples and this is my 4th year teaching Specialized Instruction here at Matt Elementary, but I have worked in education for over 9 years, first as a Paraprofessional. I received a B.S in Physical Education at the University of North Georgia. I also earned my Master’s degree in Elementary Education from Western Governors’ University.

Hello Matt Mariners!  My name is Sarah Seymore and I am excited to be joining the Matt team as an ACA teacher this year!  I have been a substitute teacher with the school district since 2016, and became a Paraprofessional with Matt Elementary during the 2021-22 school year.  I have a Bachelors degree from Ithaca College and a Masters Degree from Touro University.  I am an Army Veteran and my husband is an active duty Army Soldier; we have two children.  I have lived in New York and Alaska, previously, but have been in Georgia since 2012.  I love to spend time outdoors skiing, boating, and hiking.  You may even see me in some of your favorite shows and movies!  I absolutely love working with kids and can’t wait to begin my teaching career at Matt Elementary. 

Hi, my name is Danielle Turner. I am so excited for our school year together to begin. This will be my 10th year of teaching and my 6th year teaching the ACA K-2 class! I truly feel I have one of the best jobs in the world. We love and laugh a lot in our classroom. I believe that every child can learn and grow in any circumstance. One of my favorite quotes by Ignacio Estrada says, “If a child can’t learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn.” I look forward to meeting you!
