My name is Pat Brown. I’m very excited to be joining the Matt Mariners. This will be my 19^th year teaching in Forsyth County. I was born and raised in Athens (Go Dawgs!), but I’ve lived in Forsyth County for the past 18 years. I taught 2^nd and 3^rd grade for sixteen years and I’ve worked with EIP and ESOL students for the past two years. I am excited that I will get to continue working with EIP and ESOL students at Matt!  Outside of school, I stay busy with my family. I spend as much time as I can outside working in the yard, playing with our two dogs, Finley and Scout, mountain biking, and going on Jeep adventures.

My name is Liz Ralston.  I am excited to be at Matt for my 17th year teaching.   I’ve had the joy of teaching almost all elementary grade levels as a classroom teacher, and this year marks my ninth year teaching ESOL . I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education, a Master of Science degree in Elementary Reading and Literacy, and an Educational Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction. When I'm not at school, I enjoy running, watching football and baseball, and spending time with my husband, our two boys and three dogs.  I’m so excited to be a part of the Mariner family and look forward to a great school year!
