My name is Courtney McKinney and I am honored to be the Principal of Big Creek  Elementary.  I am thrilled to be able to serve our students, staff, and community at this wonderful school!  I have taught kindergarten through fifth grade and enjoyed each one! I have two boys, Will and Trent, who are in college and attend Forsyth County Schools.  In my spare time, I enjoy going to the beach,  attending sporting events, and spending time with family.   If I can be of assistance, please reach out to me.  I am looking forward to a fabulous year.

My name is Katie Turner, and I am excited to serve the students, staff, and families of the Big Creek community as Assistant Principal! I have worked in Forsyth County since 2008. I have taught both general education and special education students in grades K-5 and served as Intervention Coach, Instructional Coach, Quality Work Facilitator, and Assistant Administrator. I graduated from North Georgia College and State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education with a Reading Endorsement. I received my Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education with a Gifted Endorsement and a Math Endorsement from NGCSU. I attended Georgia College and State University for my Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership. My husband Nick and I have four kids- Charlotte, Eloise, James, and Isla. I am excited about working with your family at Big Creek!

I am honored to serve the students, staff, and families of Big Creek as the Assistant Administrator.  I taught students in grades K-5 and served as an Early Intervention Program teacher, Instructional Coach, and Gifted Teacher.  I graduated from Mercer University with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. I received my Master's Degree in Instructional Technology from Troy State University. I attended Piedmont University where I obtained a Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and my Tier 1 Leadership Certification. When I am not a Big Creek, I enjoy beach trips, concerts, and shopping. My husband and I have a sweet dog, Mollie.
