I am starting my 21st year of teaching ALL at Matt Elementary. I am blessed to be teaching the Gifted Education Program again this upcoming year.  I love helping grow passionate k – 5th grade students' creative minds and help them excel within classroom standards.

In previous years, I taught inclusion, 4th grade, 3rd grade, and 2nd grade. I hold a masters and specialist degree in integration of technology k – 12 and am also endorsed with my gifted certification. I have a son that will be a senior at North High School this year, and cannot wait to see where his next set of stepping stones takes him.

I value my students’ thoughts, ideas, and actions because each student holds their own unique talents and strengths. I cannot wait to begin exploring new concepts, passions, and building budding relationships with all my students as we “do not go where the path may lead, but instead go where there is no path and leave a trail!”

I am thrilled to be teaching my Gifted Education students this upcoming school year! One of the best aspects of my jobs is building relationships with students and their families that last from Kindergarten to Fifth Grade. I worked with Third Graders for nine years prior to teaching Gifted Education at Mashburn Elementary School. I was the Gifted Program Teacher at Mashburn Elementary for three years, then stayed at home with my children for six years before returning to education. In 2005-06, I started teaching Gifted Education at Matt Elementary School. I am married to Russ Clark and we have three beautiful daughters.  The girls LOVE volleyball!! So we spend quite a bit of time watching the girls play! We live on Lake Lanier and enjoy all watersports!
