    DeSana Middle School Assistant Principals

    epperson Epperson, Sharon

I am excited to start my 33rd year in education.  The last four years in middle school and helping to establish DeSana Middle School has been a pleasure!  As an assistant principal, I work with creating the master schedule to serve our students and honor the middle school model of teaming as much as possible.  My teaching experience was in high school where I taught a variety of science courses [anatomy, biology, chemistry, physical science] to a variety of levels of students, up to Advanced Placement of the College Board.  I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from Armstrong State College, Masters of Secondary Science Education from Piedmont College and my leadership certification from the University of Georgia.

My husband, Kurt, and I have been married since 1986.  We have two wonderful daughters who are successful graduates of Forsyth County Schools.  I have recently experienced a life changing event and am now the proud grandparent to a baby girl!

It is my pleasure and privilege to work with you and your family!

I am excited to begin my 21st year in education. I recently served as the administrative support at Midway Elementary, as well as previously taught 4th and 5th grades in Cobb and Cherokee counties before making my way to Forsyth where I continued teaching in the classroom, served as a special education interrelated teacher, instructional coach for special education, and as an intervention specialist.

I am originally from Vero Beach, Florida, but have lived in Georgia for over 20 years. I graduated from Piedmont College with a degree in Early Childhood Education and received a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Kennesaw State University. I have also added special education to my teaching certificate and earned a Specialist degree in Curriculum & Instruction. I am married and have three girls, Hannah, Alex, and Rylee. My wife, Erin, is an interrelated teacher at Silver City Elementary in Forsyth county.

I am excited about the opportunity to serve at DeSana and look forward to getting to know each of you throughout the school year. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me through email or by phone. Let me thank you in advance for all of your support!

I am so excited to be starting my 13th year in education and first year as DeSana’s Assistant Administrator.  Previously, I taught middle grades math for nine years and then served as DeSana’s Instructional Technology Specialist for the last three years.  I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Middle Grades Education from North Georgia College and State University, Masters in Middle Grades Math and Science from Valdosta State University, and Specialist Degree in Instructional Technology from Kennesaw State University.

My husband, Jon, and I have two wonderful boys, Brantley (6) and Banks (1) who always keep us entertained and on our toes.  When we are not sporting superhero costumes and building with blocks, we enjoy going out to eat, seeing a movie, and attending sports events.

I am looking forward to working with each of you this school year!
