Welcome to 3rd grade! My name is Veronica Beattie and I am so excited to begin my 15th year in teaching. I have spent the last 14 years teaching in Forsyth County, and have taught 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades. I live at home with my husband, our 3 children and 3 pets. My daughter is heading off to UGA this Fall (Go Dawgs!). When I am not teaching, you can find me curled up with a great book as I love to read! I am looking forward to a great year!

Prior to teaching at Brandywine, Debbie taught first grade for 15 years. She and her family moved to North Georgia in 2018 from the Chicago area. Debbie earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with endorsements in middle school and dance/theater from Northern Illinois University. She also holds a Master’s Degree as a Reading Specialist in grades K-12. In her spare time , Debbie enjoys photography, teaching dance and spending time outdoors. Kate McDearmon My name is Kate McDearmon, and I am thrilled to be a Brandywine Badger! This is my 10th year teaching and my second year at BWE. For the past few years, I have had the wonderful opportunity to stay at home with my children (Alice, 5, and Miles, 3). Prior to this, I taught 2nd and 4th grades in Gwinnett County, Phenix City, Alabama, and an American school in Sao Paulo, Brazil. My daughter was born in Brazil, and we decided to return home to Atlanta to be close to family. I have both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Georgia. In addition, I hold ESOL certification and elementary mathematics and reading endorsements. My husband, Brian, is a high school English teacher in Fulton County, and we enjoy living in the Alpharetta community. My name is Michelle Stuparits and I am excited to be a part of the Third Grade team at Brandywine Elementary for the 2020-2021 school year. I graduated from the University of North Georgia with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood/ Special Education (P-5). This is my 11th year of teaching. I have also taught PreK and Kindergarten.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy traveling, hiking, dining at Atlanta restaurants, and spending time with my family and friends. I have been married to my husband, Michael, for 7 years. We have a pet dog and cat. We also like going to Atlanta United and Georgia Tech games.This year will be filled with fun, learning, and excitement! My name is Amy O’Keefe, and I am excited to be teaching third grade at Brandywine again this year! I have taught in both public and private schools all over the country from Monroe, GA to Gainesville, FL to Malibu, CA to New Haven, CT over the past twenty-seven years. I have also taught in Forsyth and Fulton Counties over that time period as well.
I received my Early Childhood degree from the University of Georgia and my Masters degree in Early Childhood from Georgia State University. Years later, I got my Specialists degree from Piedmont College in Teaching and Learning. I have taught first, third, fourth, and fifth grades.
I have been married to my husband, Brian, for twenty one years. We have a seventeen year old son who will be a senior at Roswell High School this year. I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, traveling, and playing tennis.
