Paula Posner

    I am excited to begin my 23rd year of teaching in Forsyth County!  I have been at Brandywine Elementary for five years, and prior to that I taught at Midway Elementary for seventeen.  I also taught in Florida before moving to Georgia.  My teaching experience includes kindergarten, first grade, second grade, EIP, Title 1, and ESOL.

    My husband, Barry, and I have been married for 27 years and we have two girls.  Natalie (20) is beginning her junior year at UGA –Go Dawgs! Camille (17) will be a senior at Forsyth Central, where she cheers on the Varsity Sideline and Competition teams.  We also have 3 dogs – Luke, Leia, and Finn (my baby). Our family loves to spend our free time outdoors.  We especially like skiing, hiking, and spending time on the lake!

    Donna Hoffman

    I graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education. This will be my 24th year teaching.  I taught 4th grade, 5th grade and Gifted in Cobb County for 16 years. I have been in Forsyth County for 7 years where I have spent most of my time teaching 5th grade.  This will be my second year in ESOL and I love it!!

    I have been married to my husband Matthew for 18 years and we have 3 children – Tyler (16) a junior at West Forsyth, Paige (14) a freshman at Denmark and Cooper (7) who will be in second grade here at Brandywine.

    I love spending time with my family and doing anything sports related.  I especially love football and love cheering on my son at West and watching the Georgia Bulldogs! Go Dawgs!!

    Ellie Lennen

    My name is Elizabeth Lennen. I am a South Florida native and a graduate of Florida International University. I started off in the corporate world, but transitioned to teaching 20 years ago and found my purpose. I have taught ESOL since Brandywine's inception, and I enjoy helping our Badgers acquire English while supporting classroom teachers teach the standards. Brandywine is a great place to be!

    Kim Rogers

    My name is Kim Rogers and I am an ESOL teacher here at Brandywine. I am truly blessed and have loved my teaching career for 28 years! I have had the opportunity to teach Kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, Title 1 K-3, EIP K-5, ESOL K-5. I have my EDS in curriculum and Instruction from Piedmont College and my undergrad from Brenau University. I am a mom of a freshman in college and a junior in high school. My own love for learning and my passion for helping my students has only increased throughout the years! I am looking forward to this year being one of the best!

    Leigh Cooper

    My name is Leigh Cooper, and I am an ESOL teacher at Brandywine. I have been teaching for 20 years, and I have worked with many different grade levels. However, most of my time in the classroom has been spent working with kindergarten students. I love helping young students learn, explore and grow! My goal as an educator is to instill a lifelong love for learning. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our four adult children and two dogs. I also enjoy reading, exercising and time at the beach. ​

    Natalie Sanfilippo

    This year I am beginning my 16th year teaching in Forsyth County! I have taught 1st Grade, 3rd Grade as well as Title I and ESOL in grades K-5. I graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Go Dawgs! In 2011, I completed my master's degree at Piedmont College. I have two sweet nieces and one sweet nephew that live in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL that I try to visit as often as possible! I am also blessed to have two nieces that live close that I love to spend time with. I am looking forward to another wonderful year at Brandywine!

    The ESOL program is designed to support language acquisition for students who qualify for services.  Students are served in small group setting, using several different service models, depending on student needs.  The ESOL standards are addressed through academic content.  To learn more about the Wida Standards, click here.  Please feel free to contact the ESOL department at anytime if questions arise.
