Mrs. Bennett will begin her 10th year of teaching in August! Eight of those years were spent teaching first grade. She received her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Georgia and her Masters degree in Elementary Education from Valdosta State University. Mrs. Bennett holds her Gifted and ESOL endorsements. She is so excited to be rejoining the Wolf Pack as a first grade teacher!

Mrs. Helsby is in her 20th year of teaching. She has always loved teaching first grade, but has also taught second grade, college students, and Pre-K. She has taught in Forsyth County Schools for 6 years. She has a Master and Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. She enjoys encouraging students to be life-long learners. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and finding ways to be creative. She has been married to her husband for 23 years and they enjoy their Jeep adventures together.

Mrs. Kern is a 7th year teacher who graduated from the University of North Georgia with a degree in Elementary/Special Education. She is currently pursuing her masters degree from Georgia Southern University. When Mrs. Kern is not teaching she enjoys going to the beach, traveling, and spending time with family and friends!

Ms. Metcalf is so excited for her third year of teaching at Whitlow Elementary! She attended Forsyth County Schools K-12 and graduated from University of North Georgia with a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education with an endorsement in reading. Ms. Metcalf is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education with an endorsement in ESOL through UNG. She believes in providing students with an interactive learning environment where students are excited and engaged in growing their brains! In her free time, Ms. Metcalf loves to spend time with family and friends, go to the pool, and love on her sweet fur babies!

Mrs. Miller has been teaching for 13 years. She has taught Kindergarten, 1^st Grade, and 2^nd Grade. Mrs. Miller received her Master and Bachelor’s degree from Georgia State University. She also holds a Reading, Science, and ESOL endorsement. In her free time, Mrs. Miller enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Ms. Oquendo is so excited for her first year teaching first grade at Whitlow Elementary. Ms. Oquendo attended Forsyth County schools K-12 and he graduated from the University of North Georgia with a degree in Early Childhood and Special Education with an endorsement in reading. In her free time, Ms. Oquendo loves cheering on the Atlanta braves and spending time with family and friends.

Ms. Paske is so excited for her second year teaching in first grade! She received her Master and Bachelor’s degree from Georgia College & State University. In her free time, Ms. Paske loves reading, playing pickleball, spending time with family and friends, and cheering on the Atlanta Braves!

Ms.Timmerman is a First Grade teacher. She is starting her second year teaching at Whitlow Elementary! She graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Early Childhood Education. In her free time, Ms. Timmerman enjoys spending time with family and friends, travel, and cheering on the Auburn Tigers!
