    Lindsay Carlson

    Biography:

    Lindsay Carlson is a Professional School Counselor at Denmark High School. She has called Forsyth County her home for the past 20+ years and was a high school student during the South/West and South/Lambert splits. She is an alumnus of South Forsyth High School and earned both her B.S. in psychology and M.Ed. in Professional School Counseling from Georgia Southern University. Lindsay has a background in leadership development, holistic wellness, yoga and mindfulness and other social emotional learning. As a Professional School Counselor in Forsyth County she has spearheaded numerous SEL programs to include school wide curriculum, canine therapy, Movement & Mindfulness and other wellness initiatives.

    Corinna Spurlock

    Biography:

    Corinna Spurlock grew up in Suwanee, Georgia and received her B.S. in Child and Family Development from the University of Georgia and her Masters in School Counseling from Mercer University. She helped to open Denmark High School with a counseling team of 4 in 2018. She is committed to developing programs that support the total wellness of students. Prior to her time at DHS, she worked as a Professional School Counselor and Head Swim & Dive Coach at South Forsyth High School for four years. She resides in Sugar Hill, GA with her husband, Matthew Spurlock, and three children, Maura (4), Rayna (7) and Mia (18). In her spare time, she loves to exercise, cook, play board games, and vacation at the beach. 

     


     

     

    Ryan Brooks

    Biography:

    Ryan grew up in Columbia, SC and graduated from The Citadel with a bachelor’s in Social Studies Education.  After graduating, he joined the US Coast Guard and completed 5 years of active duty service before going back to school to earn his Ed.S in Counselor Education from the University of South Carolina. Ryan has been a high school counselor since 2014 and has served students in SC, CO, and now GA!  He is passionate about connecting students with their college and career passions, as well as navigating the different career pathways for those students who aren’t sure what to do after high school.  In his spare time, Ryan loves spending time with his wife, 3 kids (ages 5 & under), playing basketball, reading, and watching Gamecock Football and Duke Basketball!

    Caroline Shariett

    Biography: 

    Caroline Shariett received her B.S. in Psychology from Birmingham Southern College and her Masters in School Counseling from Auburn University.   She has 16 years of experience as a School Counselor. She has a passion for school counseling and helping students find balance and wellness.  She enjoys supporting students as they work towards their goals for the future. In her time away from the school she enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 children, reading, and vacationing at the beach.

     


     

     

    Carolyn Moore

    Biography:

    Carolyn Moore is from Illinois and grew up in Alpharetta, Georgia.  She earned her Bachelor’s degree from University of Georgia, her Master’s from Georgia State University and her Specialist from Valdosta State University.  This is Mrs. Moore’s seventh year as a school counselor!  Mrs. Moore lives with her husband, Nick, and her son, Oliver (3) and her daughter Rosie (1).  She enjoys running, hiking, baking, and spending time with family and friends.

     


     


    Shay Locke

    Biography:

    Shay has been a school counselor for 15 years at various levels. She received my Undergraduate and Masters from the University of West Georgia and my Education Specialist from University of Georgia. She loves spending time with my 3 kids. She also loves working out, playing tennis, running, biking, paddleboarding and hanging out with friends and my puppy. Shay is looking forward to working with our community!
