With nearly a 75-year history, DECA has impacted the lives of more than ten million students, educators, school administrators and business professionals since it was founded in 1946. DECA’s programs and activities have constantly evolved as we use the latest technology and apply cutting edge educational research. AAI DECA provides students a multitude of competition opportunities, ranging from the Regional level, State level, and International levels depending on placement. Students can compete in any of the four competition clusters: Business Management, Hospitality and Tourism, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, and Finance. Students can compete within a team or by themselves. State (CDC) and Internationals (ICDC) are multi-day events in which students compete, attend workshops, foster leadership skills, obtain awards, and network! CDC is hosted in downtown Atlanta, while ICDC rotates through multiple locations. 2025 ICDC will be hosted in Atlanta, Georgia. We find that students build lifelong friendships through DECA, all while fostering important career-ready skills that prepare them for the real world!
