Director Amy Neal

FC Chorus
  • Amy is entering her 7th year teaching this 2018-2019 school year. This is her second year leading the choral program at Forsyth Central. Before joining the FCHS staff, Amy taught elementary music at Haw Creek in Forsyth County and White Sulphur in Hall County. During her four years at Haw Creek the choral program tripled in size and became a top 5 program in ticket sales to their performances at Atlanta Gladiators games. Amy hopes to bring the same success to FCHS. Her first priority is to nurture the talent already present in our wonderful choral program and take the program to new heights through recruitment and new opportunities.

Amy received her bachelor’s degree in music education and master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from Georgia Southern University (Go Eagles!) and her Ed.S in Curriculum and Instruction from Piedmont College. During her time at Southern, Amy performed with the University Singers and Chorale choral ensembles. With these groups she toured Europe and performed in Budapest, Vienna, and Prague. She had the pleasure of making the GMEA All State Choir 4 years which she credits as the reason she decided to pursue music education.
