Why become a mentor?

*You have a unique opportunity to make a positive impact in the life of highly motivated, achieving, and engaged teenager.

*You can be a catalyst in inspiring them to continue in the field/career that you are mentoring them in. You can build a relationship with the student and provide them with the necessary career readiness skills in order to be successful as a college student and an adult. 

*You can be part of creating a necessary bridge between schools and community that results in a stronger community.

What will be my role as a mentor?

*To serve as a role model in the career /field that the student is mentoring in.

*To provide authentic and relevant learning opportunities for the student in their mentorship 3-4 hours a week.

*Complete evaluations of the student as well as attend a final presentation at an evening gala event with parents, students, and community members.

*Be a lifelong mentor who can guide students in their career goals while in your mentorship, but even after high school.
