The role of instructional technology at Big Creek Elementary is to enhance students' opportunities for creative exploration and support a deeper understanding of academic content in authentic ways.
All classrooms are equipped with 10 chromebooks for student use with additional chromebook and iPad carts available when needed. Additionally, every classroom has a ClearTouch interactive panel for direct interaction with and manipulation of presentations and classroom material. Big Creek Elementary also possesses equipment and materials for coding, robotics, green screen, 3D printing, and movie-making.
Below are examples of some of the instructional technology tools available to students and teachers to enhance creativity, critical thinking, flexible learning, immediate feedback and student agency in learning.
