    Ms. Kimmy Wood

Ms. Wood is currently an art teacher and National Art Honors Society sponsor at Denmark High School. She has been teaching for 11 years and absolutely loves connecting students with their creativity and passion for art. She spent 9 years at South Forsyth Middle School before coming to Denmark and was able to make valuable strides in the FCS arts program, leadership at SFMS and is excited to excell the Visual Arts program at Denmark. Since coming to Denmark, she has been able to make a strong visual presence of the program, build student and community connections to the arts, as well as expand the media arts program for the students at DHS. Her goal is to make this a distinguished art program where students flourish both confidently and artistically, reaching all students who make an attempt at the arts. Her philosophy is to reach the whole learner rather than through a single subject. She believes that the arts are a valuable tool when building well rounded learners. With her diverse background in the art, strength in technology and passion for creativty, she is able to teach with both college and career in mind for this program. Ms. Wood is excited to be an artist and educator for the Dane Nation.
