AP Capstone
January 30, 2023
AP Capstone is a 2-year program that provides the opportunity for students to develop critical thinking, research, and communication skills and culminates with an independent research project. Students accepted into the program will complete two AP courses, AP Seminar and AP Research. Students who earn scores of 3 or higher in both of the AP Capstone courses and on four additional AP Exams of their choosing will receive the AP Capstone Diploma. Because the AP Capstone program is reserved for a limited number of students, it is essential we choose students who have a strong work ethic, are able to meet deadlines and work in a team. You will be required to make frequent presentations and participate regularly in class discussions. Please contact Dr. Michelle Norton with questions.
Internship Forsyth
January 30, 2023
Internship Forsyth is a structured experience which connects classroom learning to an engaging job opportunity. Internship can be paid or unpaid. Students are allowed to leave the school campus to intern with local businesses, earning course credit for the experience. Please contact Ms. Susan Fagan with questions.
Mentorship Forsyth
January 30, 2023
Mentorship Forsyth gives motivated, mature students a job shadowing experience designed around the individual student’s interest in a specific field or career. Participants will engage with a community mentor and will work with that mentor for the duration of the school year. Mentorships are non-paid experiences in the community. Students are allowed to leave the school campus to job shadow in local businesses and organizations, earning course credit for the experience.

The message below was shared with LHS Band families from Ms. Tonya Mashburn, Band Program Director:
For band students, the classes you need to register for are listed below. Remember that these classes are “bucket” classes or “holding” classes. We will conduct our normal auditions in April and May, and then we will move you to the correct level / period of band, percussion, and guard classes. All you need to do now is just get in the “bucket” classes. Information on auditions will be released very soon. For more information visit www.lambertbands.com
If you plan on taking multiple Fine Arts Classes (like band and Jazz, Band and Guard, Percussion and Jazz, etc.) please make sure that you register for both classes.
If you plan on taking two of the same classes (like 2 band classes or 2 percussion classes), please contact me and I will make note of that request for registration purposes.
Here are the course numbers… please let me know if you have any questions. Remember to request your elective courses from Tuesday, January 24th at 8:00am through Monday, January 30th at 4:00pm.
