Overview: 

The Lambert High School Care Volunteers Club is to encourage students to care about the communities around them by increasing volunteer participation with the support of a mobile app. This club will contribute to Lambert by meeting the need for service hours within the student body; volunteering opportunities will allow a student to easily acquire service hours which can help in other clubs such as NHS and Beta.

The mobile app will list the volunteer needs of different organizations for students to choose opportunities based on need, location, and other requirements. The type of volunteer work that is available is diverse, ranging from tutoring to assisted living facilities. The app will log approved service hours for each student and will provide a holistic view of lifetime hours recorded.

At the club meetings, different volunteering events will be showcased, and members will discuss ways they have helped the community recently. There will also be volunteer days where members of the club will collectively volunteer at an organization for a day. 

Club Eligibility:

All students enrolled in Lambert High School are eligible for membership. There is no special achievement requirement for eligibility in the Care Volunteers club.

Meetings will be held once a month in Ms. Godown’s room (Room 2961), at 7:45am.
