    Cyberpatriot

CyberPatriot is a team-based cyber security competition league.  Each year, SFHS sponsors 5 teams of up to 6 members each.

Informational meetings are held in April and May, after the CyberPatriot headquarters release the schedule and training materials for the next competition season.

Practice sessions are held on Monday afternoons once the new school year starts.

Competitions are 6 hours long and held on Friday evenings from 4:30pm to 10:30pm.  The first round usually begins in October, with additional rounds held one night each in November and December, and then also January and February if teams qualify for later rounds.  Three rounds of competition are guaranteed.

Go to the CyberPatriot web site for more information on the entire program.
You can also check out AFA CyberCamps to see if there is a camp you can attend to build your skills.

You can contact Ms.Zhou in Room 474 or via email at LZHOU@forsyth.k12.ga.us

To join a CyberPatriot team you must be a member of FBLA.  The skills learned and practiced during CyberPatriot competition are useful in FBLA competitive events such as Networking Concepts, Network Design, Cyber Security, Computer Problem Solving, and Intro to Information Technology.  As a member of CyberPatriot you will have access to a Cisco networking training course that covers all the same material as training to take the CCNA (Cisco Certified Networking Associate) certification.
