• What is the Central Film Academy?  
      • CFA is a film focused four-year pathway to graduation for FCHS students.  

     

    • Who can apply?  
      • Currently, any rising 9th grade student can apply.

     

    • Are we currently allowing out of district applicants?  
      • YES! we are now accepting out of district students 

     

    • How does a CFA students schedule differ from a normal high school course outlook? 
      • CFA students take two pathway courses a year. Included in this is four years of audio/video tech, visual arts 1, acting 1 and 2, dramatic writing, and a senior capstone project/workbased study.  

     

    • What will I learn?  
      • You will learn acting and filming principals. You will learn the techniques of professionals in the film industry. You will star, film, and produce your own films.  

     

    • What does my pathway prepare me for? 
      • You will gain your high school diploma and be able to apply to any College/University or enter straight into the film industry work force.  

     

    • Who is CFA designed for?  
      • We are looking for any student that is a creative thinker. No previous art, film, or acting experience is required. 

     

     

    • How many students are accepted? 
      • Our cohorts range from 20-30 students.
