Are you concerned about your child’s speech and language development?
When your child is playing with his peers, does he seem to be behind in play skills or social interaction?
Is your child struggling with pre-academic skills such as recognizing his/her name, colors, shapes, letters?
Is your child unable to manipulate simple playground equipment or classroom writing/art materials?

Forsyth County School District is offering free monthly screenings for children ages 3 to 5 (prior to entering kindergarten) to determine the need for early intervention support and services. Your child will be screened for hearing and vision, articulation and language, motor skills, cognitive skills, and adaptive/social skills. This screening will last approximately one hour, and parents must be present with their child at all times. The team will consist of special education personnel, an audiologist, and a speech-language pathologist.
Developmental screenings will be held by appointment only on the first Friday of every month from 9:00-12:00 at the Hill Center. Please complete the developmental screening form provided to you by the teacher/daycare and someone will be in touch to schedule your appointment. Appointments are scheduled on a first come/first serve basis each month.
