  • Pathway Medallions/Pins Frequently Asked Questions

    Who is eligible?

Seniors (12th grade students) can earn a pathway medallion and pin for graduation in the following areas: Advanced Academic, Fine Arts, World Language, and/or Career Tech (CTAE).

    What are the requirements?

To earn a medallion, students must be a member of an honor society and have completed at least 3 required courses in a particular subject area, as well as the additional requirements located on each of the verification forms above.

Why isn’t there a Career Tech (CTAE) or Fine Arts verification form available to complete above?

Seniors interested in receiving a CTAE pathway medallion and pin DO NOT have to complete a verification form because CTAE teachers have the ability to input the verification information in our computer system.

What are the steps and deadline to apply?

To qualify, students must print the appropriate verification form(s) below and complete all sections (except the GPA verification). Once you have all of the other sections of the form completed, submit your verification form to your honor society sponsor NO LATER THAN  Friday April 12th at 3:30pm.

What if I qualify for a medallion in multiple areas?

If a student qualifies for a medallion in multiple areas, you must complete a verification form for each area. If your verification form(s) is submitted by Friday, April 12th at 3:30pm and approved by your honor society sponsor, then you’ll receive a PIN for each additional pathway. Students will only receive 1 medallion.

How can I obtain my GPA to complete that portion of my verification form?

Counselors will verify your GPA after your verification form has been submitted to your honors society sponsor, so there is no need to bring your verification form to the Counseling Office.

Where do I submit my completed verification form?

Please submit your verification form to your honor society sponsor NO LATER THAN Friday, April 12th at 3:30pm.

Where can I find a list on honor societies and honor society sponsors?

You can find the list of honor societies in the left-hand toolbar of this webpage:

    https://www.forsyth.k12.ga.us/site/Default.aspx?PageID=24961

When will I receive my medallion/pin(s)?

If your form is submitted by Friday April 12th at 3:30pm and approved by your honor society sponsor, then you will receive your medallion/pin(s) on May 3rd at 11:00 am at the Senior Send-Off event in the LHS gymnasium.
