• Student Afternoon Drop-Off

With the goal of safety in mind, FCS Transportation requires that all families complete a transportation verification form at the beginning of each school year or as soon as possible when enrolling in the FCSS.

Please remember to read the options carefully, specifically the options for 3rd through 5th grade students.

Links to complete the FCS School Bus Verification Form can be found on the Forsyth County School website or at the following link:

    https://www.forsyth.k12.ga.us/Page/51826.

Please understand that this is for the safety of your student(s) and not intended to be an inconvenience.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

**ALL CHILDREN EIGHT IN GRADES K-2 MUST BE RELEASED TO A PARENT/GUARDIAN or DESIGNEE IN POSSESSION OF A STUDENT RELEASE PASS OBTAINED FROM THE STUDENT'S PARENT/GUARDIAN.  THE ONLY EXCEPTION IS IF AN OLDER (3rd-5th grade) SIBLING IS ON THE BUS AND YOUR K-2 GRADE STUDENT IS TAGGED YELLOW.**

**NO RED TAGGED STUDENTS WILL BE RELEASED WITH A GREEN TAGGED SIBLING.**

It is the parents' responsibility to ensure that the designated pick-up person at the stop has the Student Release Pass available to show any bus driver upon delivery at the bus stop.

FCS Transportation Expectations for Student Drop Off:

 The parent/guardian or designee should be at the assigned bus stop location five (5) minutes prior to the scheduled drop off time.

 The parent/guardian or designee should be physically present and visible at the bus stop and in possession of the Student Release Pass to show the driver. Especially in the unexpected event of a sub driver, the parent/guardian or designee will need to be in possession of the pass to show the sub driver.

 If the parent/guardian or designee of any child who is tagged red or yellow (Yellow: The older sibling is not on the bus.) is not at the bus stop and if the pick-up person does not have the Student Release Pass, the child will be returned to school for his/her safety.

 All requests for a waiver from any Transportation Department procedure should be made in writing to the District Supervisor.  All contact information is on the first tab to the left. Extenuating circumstances may be considered on a case by case basis.

Under normal circumstances, please allow three (3) school/business days for all bus-related transportation changes and requests to be reviewed, processed, and finalized by your child’s school and the FCS Transportation Department.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we protect 100% of our students, 100% of the time.
