Dawn Hudson - Principal

Mrs. Hudson began her career in Forsyth County Schools in 2000.  All twenty-three years of her tenure have been spent at the middle school level.  Throughout her career, she has served as a Science and Literacy teacher, Graduation Coach, Student Support Coordinator, and Assistant Principal.  Mrs. Hudson has also served her community by coaching basketball and cheerleading.  Mrs. Hudson holds a bachelor’s degree from North Georgia College and State University, a master’s degree from Kennesaw University, and a specialist’s degree from Lincoln Memorial University.  Outside of education, Mrs. Hudson enjoys spending time with her husband, who is also a Forsyth County educator, as well as, hanging with their three children.  Additionally, Mrs. Hudson loves to travel, watch her children play sports, and to learn about interior design.

Mrs. Ali Parker - Assistant Principal

Mrs. Ali Parker will be joining our Liberty family as an Assistant Principal for the 24-25 school year.  Born and raised in Forsyth County, she is a graduate of North Forsyth High School. Mrs. Parker began her career at Little Mill Middle School in January of 2011 and moved to Lakeside Middle in the fall of 2011 as a language arts teacher. Mrs. Parker has also served as a Graduation Coach and an Assistant Administrator. Mrs. Parker holds a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary English Education from the University of North Georgia, a Master’s degree in Middle Grades Language Arts, and an Education Specialist in Curriculum and Instruction from Piedmont University.  Mrs. Parker and her husband, Derrick, have a son, Graham, who is in 1st grade at Coal Mountain Elementary.

Ashley Starr - Assistant Principal

Mr. Starr has been in education for 23 years, and he has spent the last four years as an Assistant Principal at DeSana Middle School. Prior to middle school, he taught 4th and 5th grades in Cobb and Cherokee counties before making his way to Forsyth, where he continued teaching in the classroom. He has served in many roles, including special education interrelated teacher, instructional coach for special education, and an intervention specialist. He also served the Midway Elementary community as administrative support. Ashley’s wife, Erin, is also a teacher at Silver City Elementary, and they have three daughters; Hannah, Alex, and Rylee.  Additionally, they are proud grandparents to their two grandsons, Greyson and Anderson!

Jared Hawkins - Assistant Administrator

Dr. Jared Hawkins is excited to be joining the Liberty Middle Family as Assistant Administrator! He grew up in Milledgeville, Georgia, which is where he met his wife, Elizabeth, and began his teaching career. After teaching in Milledgeville for 5 years, Jared & Elizabeth moved to Forsyth County schools in 2017. Dr. Hawkins is in his 12th year in education and has experience teaching 4th, 5th, and 6th grades, along with serving as a 504 coordinator. Dr. Hawkins’ wife is a teacher at Chestatee Elementary, and they have two children, Aiden, who is 7, and Adalynn, who is 4. Dr. Hawkins is a proud Bobcat from Georgia College and earned a Bachelors in Middle Grades Education, a Master’s in Early Childhood, a Specialist in Educational Leadership, and a Doctorate from Piedmont University in Curriculum and Instruction.
