I am delighted to begin my second year of public school teaching at Shiloh Point Elementary!  Teaching the youngest of students is truly where my heart lies. I have lived in various parts of the US, and obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.  When I’m not at school, I love scrapbooking, reading, and enjoying the outdoors with my husband and two-year-old son.  Kindergarten is where the adventure begins and I can’t wait to begin this year’s incredible journey with the SPES family.

This year is my 4th year teaching kindergarten at Shiloh Point Elementary, and I love being a Shiloh Shark! I graduated from Georgia College and State University with my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education in May of 2018. Kindergarten is such an amazing year of growth, and I am eager to partner alongside your family. Your child's physical, emotional, social, and intellectual well-being is my top priority and I cannot wait for an amazing year in Kindergarten!

I am originally from upstate NY where I earned my Bachelor's Degree from St. Bonaventure University and my Master's Degree from SUNY Cortland.  This will be my 21st year teaching, 18 of those years have been spent in Kindergarten. There is nothing more exciting than having the opportunity to get these kiddos excited about school and spark a life-long love for learning.

I absolutely love being a Shiloh Shark! I earned my Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education and Special Education from NGCSU and my Master's in Technology from Lesley University. Throughout my educational career, I've earned various endorsements (Gifted, ESOL, Reading, and Math) as well. I guess I'm like a sponge that just wants to keep growing for the benefit of my students and myself. I live in Cumming with my husband (Mike), kids (Logan and Lilian), and my dog (Turbo).

I can't imagine doing anything other than teaching! I've loved this work for over 16 years! After graduating from Piedmont College in 2004, I began teaching in Gwinnett County. The last 12years I have taught second grade and kindergarten at Shiloh Point. Before coming to Forsyth County I taught for 2.5 years in Gwinnett County. While teaching I continued my education and got my masters in Reading and Literacy from Walden University. In my work with children, I strive to help them discover their passions and experience the world around them. I treat each day as a new adventure from which to learn, explore, and grow.
