• Ms. Rebecca Chesser

My name is Rebecca Chesser. I have taught for 4 years, 3 years of 2nd grade in Valdosta, Ga and 1 year of 1st grade here at Shiloh. I could tell from the very first time I set foot inside Shiloh that it is a special place to be where teachers and administrators truly value student relationships. I am thrilled to contribute to creating a positive learning environment where each student can fall in love with learning and reach his or her full potential! I have been married for 4 years to my husband, Jacob, who teaches Social Studies and coaches quarterbacks at Lambert High School. We are very excited to be welcoming a baby girl this September! We enjoy playing all kinds of sports and board games, and taking our 150 lb English Mastiff for walks.

I have been teaching for 28 years. Teaching has always been a passion of mine. This is my tenth year at Shiloh where I have taught 3rd grade, Horizons and the Math/Science Lab. I have found that teaching a variety of grades has helped me to better understand and appreciate the full spectrum of learning that takes place in elementary school. My classroom is project based. I also strive to weave technology into my curriculum and work hard to make my lessons applicable to the real world.

    Ms. Katie Farr

My name is Katie Farr. I graduated from The University of North Georgia and have been teaching for six years. All six years have been in 1st grade and I love it! I can't imagine doing anything else! In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, doing anything outdoors, and playing or watching sports. I grew up playing softball, so I'm pretty big on sports! My favorite teams are the Braves, Falcons, Hawks, and Georgia Bulldogs. I believe that every child can learn. My job is to find different ways to reach a child in order for them to achieve their goals. Every child deserves the chance to excel, and it is my passion to explore every opportunity to help them succeed. I have always had a love for teaching. Children bring so much joy to my heart. I hope to have a positive influence in their lives. I'm looking forward to a great year!

    Ms. Melinda Jenkins

I am excited to return to Shiloh's 1st Grade Team for the fourth year. I received bachelor degrees in Early Childhood, Elementary, and Middle Grades Education from Clemson University. Go Tigers! I continued my education at Georgia State University earning a master’s degree in Educational Leadership. I have 12 years teaching experience; 9 of which are in first-grade! Teaching first-grade is rewarding for many reasons. Watching the academic and social-emotional growth that occurs at this age is always incredible. I also love the energy and zest for life that first-graders have. The best part, however, is forming true connections and positive relationships with my students. I am always amazed by the insights and big ideas such little learners have.

    Ms. Megan Kieffer

Hello Shiloh Point Sharks! I am so excited to be joining the first grade team for my first year of teaching! I graduated from the University of Georgia in 2015 with a Bachelors in Art History and worked as a graphic designer for 4.5 years. In 2019, I began pursuing my dream of becoming a teacher through obtaining my Master of Arts in Teaching with Liberty University and graduated this May of 2021. My husband, Thomas, and I are both natives of Forsyth County and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to give back to the school system that shaped me. Along with our German Shepherd, Bella, we love to spend time with our families, go rock climbing outside or at the local gym, and occasionally engage in a Netflix binge on the weekend. I am overjoyed to be able to connect, grow, and learn with you and your family throughout this school year and cannot wait to meet my students and see all the amazing things they will accomplish!
