To report your student's positive COVID test result please follow this link

    2021-2022 Positive COVID Reporting Form

Effective Monday, August 16th we will resume contact tracing in our classrooms.  When any student who has been directly exposed  (within six feet for 15 minutes or longer) to another student or staff member who has been diagnosed with COVID, parents will be notified.

If your child has had direct exposure at school,  parents will receive an email messenger advising of the direct exposure (6 feet/15 minutes) and outlining choices for their child to return to school. If your child remains without symptoms after the exposure, they may continue to come to school.

Or you may choose to have your child self-quarantine at home. Your child will be marked present, but accessing their work through Its Learning.  We want you to know that their attendance is not going to be affected. If you want to have your child tested, it is best to wait 5 days from the date of exposure before testing as this will give you more accurate results. After testing, you must keep your child home while waiting on test results.  Please contact us if you choose to quarantine your child.

If your child presents with any one symptom of COVID-19 within a 14-day period following their exposure date, then your child will be sent home or must stay home immediately regardless of vaccine status. Parents will need to advise your child’s school nurse and follow up with your child’s health care provider for further guidance.  A person does not need to quarantine due to a direct exposure if they have had a positive COVID-19 test within the past 90 days or are fully vaccinated. However, they need to continue to monitor for symptoms for a full 10- days period and stay home immediately if symptoms do present.

If your child has had direct exposure at home, they will need to quarantine for 5 days from the first exposure date.  The postitive household member should stay in a seperate room in the house away from others.  Your child may return to school on day 6 without a test.

If your child begins to show symptoms of Covid, they MUST stay home until they are fever and/or symptom free for 24 hours without medication.  Please consult with your healthcare provider on whether or not your child should have a Covid test.

If your child tests positive for Covid, your child will be required to quarantine at home for 5 days. Students may return to school on day 6, if fever free for the last 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medications and other symptoms have improved (i.e. cough). Once you have filled out the positive Covid reporting form I will contact you with your child's return to school date.  It will be based on the date they first started showing symptoms or the date they took their test if they are asymptomatic.  If they have siblings in the school system they are required to quarantine at home as well.
