2021-2022 AP Exam Fees
  • What is the cost of AP exams?

    • The College Board charges $96.00 for each exam*. In addition, students will pay a one-time administrative fee to offset the cost of testing materials, substitutes, etc.  All high schools in Forsyth County charge a one-time fee of $25.00 regardless of how many exams a student takes.

    • The cost for exams will be as follows:

      • 1 exam   =  $121.00 (includes the exam fee of $96.00 plus a one-time administrative fee of $25.00)

      • 2 exams =  $217.00

      • 3 exams =  $313.00

      • 4 exams =  $409.00

      • 5 exams =  $505.00

    • *All exams cost $96 EXCEPT AP Seminar and AP Research which cost $144 each. 

     

    What other associated fees are there?

    • The following fees are based on exam registration and ordering deadlines. 

      • The registration and ordering deadline for AP courses that begin in August is October 26th.

      • The registration and ordering dealine for AP courses that begin in January is March 1st.

     

    1. Late order fee: A late order fee of $40 per exam will be assessed for all orders after the deadline. 

    2. Exam cancelation fee: An exam cancelation fee of $40 per exam will be assessed for all exams that are canceled after the deadline.

    3. Unused exam fee: An unused exam fee of $40 per exam will be assessed for all exams that were ordered and not used by the student. This includes "no-shows" as well as late arrivals on exam day.

    4. Late testing fee: A late testing fee of $40 per exam will be assessed for exams that are taken during the late testing dates. AP Coordinator approval is required for late testing exams. In some instances, the College Board will waive this fee.
