FCS recommends that all students, staff and families follow guidance related to COVID-19 from their healthcare providers or the Department of Public Health.
Please do NOT send your child to school if he/she is exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19. Symptoms include any of the following: fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or a new loss of taste or smell.
Guidance Related to Viruses and Infections
Positive Tests • If your child tests positive, immediately advise your child’s school nurse. Following CDC guidelines, students no longer have to follow a quarantine period.
School Exposures • Forsyth County Schools is no longer contact tracing.
Household Exposures • If a household member tests positive, your child(ren) are no longer required to quarantine.
