    >The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the main application used to apply for federal or state-supported financial aid to pay for a college education. Completion of the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) also serves as the application for the HOPE/Zell Miller Scholarship. The FAFSA can be completed after October 1 of the students' senior year.* If you are not planning to complete the FAFSA, students can complete the GSFAPPS (Georgia Student Finance APP) on www.gafutures.org.  Applications must be completed before the student graduates from high school.

*NOTE:  For the 2023-2024 school year, the FAFSA will have a delayed opening due to changes in the form.  The 2024-2025 FAFSA application will open by December 31st, 2023.  This is the form that students graduating in May 2024 need to fill out in order to receive financial aid/HOPE/Zell Miller for the 2024 fall semester as a college first-year student.
