Thank you, again, to all who auditioned!  Those of us on the casting panel are so proud of each of you for sharing your talents and for taking advantage of the opportunity to have this audition experience.  We have so many amazingly talented DeSana students!  Always know that so many considerations go into casting for any production, so please do not be discouraged if you were not cast or if you did not get the role you hoped for...and keep auditioning! Notes from the Director:

I’m Dr. Reverie Berger and I’m thrilled to have joined DeSana in 2023 as your Choral Director!  I taught music at the college level for the previous 15 years and am loving this exciting new adventure of teaching middle school!  I have 15- and 16-year-old boys myself, so I have been experiencing middle school music from the sidelines in recent years and am excited to now share in your musical adventures.

I started performing when I was 9 years old, and chorus, musical theater, and opera have brought me some of the greatest experiences of my life.  I grew up in Southern California, but attended the University of Michigan and Manhattan School of Music for my studies, and hold bachelors, masters, and doctoral degrees in music (voice performance).  I have been in choirs myself for 18 years of my life and have performed in about 40 stage productions, so other than hanging out with my family, music is what I do!
