Welcome to Chorus at DeSana!

I’m Dr. Reverie Berger and I’m thrilled to be joining DeSana this year as your Choral Director!  I have been teaching music at the college level for the past 15 years and am looking forward to this exciting new adventure of teaching middle school!  I have 14- and 15-year-old boys myself, so I have been experiencing middle school music from the sidelines for the past 4 years and now I can’t wait to share in your musical adventures.

I started performing when I was 9 years old, and chorus, musical theater, and opera have brought me some of the greatest experiences of my life.  I grew up in Southern California, but attended the University of Michigan and Manhattan School of Music for my studies, and hold bachelors, masters, and doctoral degrees in music (voice performance).  I have been in choirs myself for 18 years of my life and have performed in about 40 stage productions, so other than hanging out with my family, music is what I do!
