Kate Rounds- Grades 1st, 3rd, and 5th

Hello! My name is Kate Rounds, and I am one of the School Counselors at New Hope Elementary!

I received my bachelor's degree in Psychology from Valdosta State University and liked it so much I stayed to earn my master's degree in School Counseling! I have been a school counselor since 2015.

I grew up in Suwanee, but I now live in Brookhaven and love it! I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, especially if it's outdoors. I love to read, and if I'm on the beach, that's a huge plus!

Kaitlyn Vargas- Grades K, 2nd, and 4th

Hello! My name is Kaitlyn Vargas and I am one of the counselors at New Hope! I have my bachelor’s degree from Georgia College and my master’s from Mercer. My husband and I have 3 wild little boys who keep us very busy with their sports and activities. We are huge Braves and Auburn fans and go to as many baseball and football games as we can! I love being a school counselor and watching kids grow into being their own person. I am so excited to get to know all of our students and families at New Hope! Go Nighthawks!
