Hi, I'm Amy Lopez and I'm so excited to be the Media Specialist at New Hope!I am looking forward to introducing a wide range of books and media to encourage a love of learning through reading.

I have a bachelor's degree in Psychology from George Mason University, and I am graduating in December with a M.Ed. in Instructional Technology/Library Media from Valdosta State University. I've most recently worked as an Early Education Library Associate for Gwinnett County Public Libraries.

I am a first-generation American, with a Cuban father and Ecuadorean mother. I am fluent in Spanish and proud to share the beauty of my Latin culture. My children and I moved to Georgia 15 years ago from Virginia. My son attends UGA and my daughter just graduated from high school. My partner is from Texas, and he and I also have 3 fur babies who keep us on our toes! I love to read, shop, travel, take walks, and spend time with my family.

I am so excited to be a member of the New Hope family, where we will work together to cultivate the young minds of New Hope Elementary.
