Hello Miners! My name is Elaine Heath and I am very excited to be teaching PE at Coal Mountain. I have taught Physical Education and Health for several years and love sharing my passion and enthusiasm for fitness and health with all of my students. I received my Bachelor's, Master's, and Specialist Degrees all from the University of Georgia. Go Dawgs! My husband Robert and I have two sons, Wyatt and Ford, who also love and attend Forsyth County Schools. I enjoy traveling, exercising, going to the lake, and spending time with family and friends. I am looking forward to a fabulous year in PE!

Hello and welcome to Visual Art! This is where you can be as creative and imaginative as you would like to be. I am the visual art teacher at Coal Mountain and have been teaching art at the elementary level for 16 years. I absolutely love art and I love to visit art museums all over the world to discover new pieces, new artists and to enhance my own knowledge. I enjoy sharing my own artistic experiences, creativity and lifetime appreciation of art with all my students. I love to see how each child expresses their own unique creativity through visual art and how they develop their own artistic styles and skills. In my art classroom, we create through experiences in drawing, painting, sculpting, coloring, crafting, weaving and playing with clay. We do all of these exciting things while learning about famous artists and art history. But most importantly, we have fun on our creative journey through art! 

Welcome to the Coal Mountain Elementary Media Center! I have the privilege to be working with students, staff, and parents in our Media Center.

My family has lived in Georgia for 6 years, after previously living in Florida. I am a graduate of The University of South Florida with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, including certification in Media Studies and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership. I taught in the elementary setting for over 25 years. I am so excited to be able to share my love of reading with students within the Media Center. The library is the HEART OF THE SCHOOL and I can't wait for students to think, discover, and imagine! When I am not in the library you can find me with my family: Kelly (teacher at North Middle), Emma (Senior at North High), Jack (Freshman at North High). We love to visit Disney, go on road trips and camp!

Welcome to Ms. Turbeville's Music Room!  I have been singing since I was able to talk and playing the piano from the age of three.  My music background includes everything from playing piano at church and other stages to being on the drumline in marching band.  I have two grown-up children named Anna Grace and Drew and one very bouncy, rescue pup named Buddy.  The music room is a place to explore instruments like drums, ukulele and xylophones.  We learn about music and cultures all around the world and create our music all along the way. Outside of class, I love health coaching, photography, and taking long rides in my Jeep to lots of beaches!
