DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.

Hendricks Middle school DECA Chapter is a great way to get connected to other like-minded students in our school. You will learn about, as well as get to practice presentation skills, collaborative and creative problem-solving, and get to be part of community outreach and community service programs. As an extension of our Marketing program, as a DECA member, you will have the opportunity to gain business experience by working in Hawk’s Headquarters, our school store.

You will learn about personal selling, promotion, teamwork, and a variety of advanced marketing skills. Just like any business, you will be responsible for maintaining the appearance of the store and completing inventory. This is optional per student choice- you may still be a participant in DECA even if you do not work the school store.

**It is highly encouraged for students who wish to be members ARE ACTIVE in the competitive events process.
