YouScience & Careers

YouScience is a career advising platform designed to help students identify who they are, what they're good at, what careers they're wired to excel in, and how to get there.

6th Grade

Students in 6th grade take an interest survey called "snippet" that identifies their top 3 interest areas. Students are matched with career clusters that align with their interests.

7th Grade

Students in 7th grade complete brain games ("snapshot") and revisit the interest inventory. Snapshot gives students their top aptitudes/talents and matches them with best fit career clusters. Students are able to save their favorite careers to their online portfolio. 

8th Grade

Students in 8th grade continue to have access to their snapshot results and career clusters. YouScience results are useful for assisting students in selecting high school pathways and informing high school elective selections.

Parents

Parents are encouraged to look at student results and begin having conversations about interests, aptitudes/talents, and careers. Here is a tutorial for how to access your student's results for 6th graders. Here is a tutorial for how to access your student's results for 7th & 8th graders.
