• SAT Seminar from Prep for the Future

    East Forsyth High School is partnering with Prep for the Future to offer an SAT seminar in preparation for the May 4th SAT administration. The two sessions are offered at 10am during student flex times.

    Seminar Focus and Structure:

    1. April 17, 2024 - Mathematics: The first session will concentrate on mathematics.  We will cover problem-solving strategies, familiarize students with the digital interface, and address the types of questions they can expect. 

    2. April 24, 2024 - Reading Comprehension and Writing & Language: The second session will focus on the English portion of the SAT.  This includes training in reading comprehension, as well as Writing & Language, where students will hone their skills in punctuation and grammar.

  • Camp Logistics at UNG

    FREE 5-day Camp Logistics this summer from June 24-28, 2024, at the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega.  It is designed to encourage students to consider one of the most in-demand careers in North Georgia – Logistics.

    Each Camp Day during the mornings, students will learn about Logistics, listen to experts from the industry, and complete hands-on activities.  Lunch is provided free of charge.  During the afternoons, the students will go on field trips to Logistics companies such as Kubota, Kings Hawaiian, Syfan Logistics, etc. to witness Logistics in action.  The Camp is sponsored by the University of North Georgia and Syfan Logistics.  Your students will find this short Camp to be beneficial as they decide their life beyond high school.

  • Natural Resources Conservation Workshop

    Available to Georgia’s Rising 10th, 11th, and 12th graders. This workshop focuses on the value, protection, and conservation of Georgia’s wildlife, forestry, soil, and water resources, including conservation in Georgia’s mining industry. The workshop gives students a taste of college life while delivering valuable insight into careers through their counselors and instructors. (Students who have previously attended the workshop are not eligible).

    Information about the Program:

    • Dates of NRCW June 9 – 14, 2024.
    • Camp takes place at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, Georgia.
    • Students scoring well on the workshop exam may be awarded a college scholarship. A limited number of scholarships are awarded based on exam scores and specific scholarship guidelines and criteria.
    • Features field trips, classroom instruction, and recreational activities.
    • Sponsorships are available through local Conservation Districts for students to attend at no cost.
