    • The school clinic does not stock medication. All prescription and over the counter medications must be brought directly to the clinic by a parent/guardian. No student is permitted to bring medications to school.
    • Medications must be in the original container.  Medications brought in Ziploc bags or other unmarked containers will not be given.  Prescription medications must be in the pharmacy container labeled with the child's name, date, name of medication, name of prescribing physician, times(s) medication is to be given and name of the pharmacy filling the prescription.  We request that you ask the pharmacist to give you two labeled prescription bottles so that you have one bottle at home and one at school.

     

    • Do not bring medication to school which needs to be given once daily or two/three times a day unless the physician specifically states a time during the school day for the medication to be given.  If the medication can be given at home, please do so.

     

    • If your child has seen a physician and has been prescribed antibiotics, please keep child home for 24 hours after the antibiotics have been started.

     

    • A Doctor's signature on all Care Plans and medication forms for prescription medications is required for all medications that will be given for longer than a two week period.

     

    • A "Request for Administration of Medication" form must be completed by the parent or guardian. Medication and other medical forms can be found here or by asking the School Nurse.

     

    • Only FDA approved, age appropriate and in date medications are permitted.

     

    • Due to the risk of Reye's Syndrome in children under the age of 18, the school will require a physicians' signature in order to give any aspirin containing medication including Aspirin, Pepto-Bismol, and Excedrin.
