Become a Substitute

Thank you for your interest in applying to become a substitute for Forsyth County Schools!

FCS is now accepting applications from individuals who hold either a current, valid, clear-renewable Georgia professional teaching certificate or a current, valid out-of-state (U.S.) teaching certificate. Please apply using JobID# 3844 (Certified Substitute Teacher) Important: Applications submitted without a valid teaching certificate (Georgia or out-of-state) will be disqualified.

At this time, due to a high volume of applicants and a strong pool of active, non-certified substitutes, FCS is not accepting general (non-certified) substitute teacher applications.

Because of the high volume of applications, individual application status updates are not available by phone. For questions, please email substitutes@forsyth.k12.ga.us and allow up to five business days for a response.

Substitute Activities and Athletic Pass

This pass includes half-price admission for one to FCS home athletic events, musicals, plays, band concerts, and other special school-sponsored activities. Half-price admission does not extend to play-off games, graduation or PTO/A sponsored events.
