Recently awarded Georgia Certified Teacher Induction Program status through the Georgia Department of Education!
We are proud to announce that Forsyth County Schools has earned Certified Induction Program status from the Georgia Department of Education for the next five years. This distinction recognizes our commitment to developing and retaining exceptional educators through a comprehensive system of support aligned to our district’s mission of creating a safe, connected, and thriving community for all.
Every teacher in years 1–3 is paired with a dedicated one-to-one Induction mentor, and each of our 43 schools has an Induction Leader who provides on-site guidance, resources, and encouragement. Together, these supports ensure that new teachers are connected, confident, and equipped for success from day one—strengthening outcomes for educators, students, and the entire FCS community.
Aligning Teacher Dispositions and Competencies with Our District’s Vision
In Forsyth County Schools, teacher dispositions and competencies are intentionally aligned with the district’s mission and vision, as well as the Educator and Leader Profiles that define excellence across our schools. Our teachers are not only content experts—they are collaborators, innovators, and reflective practitioners who model the values we seek to instill in every student.
Mentor of the Month recognizes a mentor who goes above and beyond in supporting induction teachers across Forsyth County Schools.
