The Compass Program

The COMPASS Program utilizes PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) and MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) frameworks to proactively address students’ behavioral, social, emotional, and academic needs. Through these evidence-based approaches, staff provide individualized support and interventions designed to promote student growth and success. Our team is extensively trained in Restorative Practices, Trauma-Informed Care, the Four-Step Counseling Model, and Mental Health First Aid, ensuring students are supported in a safe, structured, and compassionate learning environment.

The COMPASS Program supports our students through comprehensive in-house therapeutic services. Each student receives weekly individual counseling sessions, as well as small group counseling opportunities such as play therapy, anger management, and peer modeling. Our program also provides weekly music therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support students’ emotional and behavioral growth. In addition, students participate in equine therapy on a quarterly basis, offering unique opportunities to build confidence, communication, and self-regulation skills.
