SPARK BINGO

• String circular cereal (like Froot Loops or Cherrios) onto yarn or a pipe cleaner to make a rainbow necklace.
• Help hang up laundry (or just clip clothespins onto a box edge). Great for finger strength!
• Tear green paper into tiny pieces. Glue them onto a shamrock outline to fill it in.
• Dig in the dirt! Use your fingers to poke a hole in the soil and drop a seed (or a bean) in.
• Roll playdough into "snakes' and arch them to build a rainbow on the table.

• Hide "gold coins" (yellow paper circles or Lego's) around the room. Count how many you find!
• Pour out a bowl of colorful cereal or pom-poms. Sort them by color: red, orange, yellow, etc.
• Use things from outside to make a pattern: stick, leaf, stick, leaf... Can you keep the pattern going?
• Draw a flower with a number in the middle (e.g., 4). Draw exactly that many petals on it.
• How many "giant" steps to the kitchen? How many "baby" steps? Compare the numbers.

• Put on some Irish fiddle music and dance! Try to kick your heels up or spin in circles.
• Run around the yard with a scarf or ribbon in your hand. Let the wind blow it behind you.

FREE SPACE (Read a book outside)

• Hold your child's feet while they walk on their hands (great for shoulder strength).
• If it rains, put on boots and jump! If not, put a towel on the floor and jump over the "puddle."

• Put yellow water in one cup and blue water in another. What happens? (green)
• Is March coming in "Like a lion"(stormy) or "Like a lamb"(calm)? Draw what the weather looks like today.
• Read a rhyming book (like Dr. Seuss). Can you think of words that rhyme with "cat"? (hat, bat, mat)
• Put a wet paper towel and a lima bean in a Ziploc bag. Tape it to a window. Watch it sprout roots!
• Look for signs of spring in Georgia. Do you see yellow daffodils? Do you see pink buds on trees?

• Cut a potato in half. Dip it in green paint and stamp it on paper. Does it look like a shamrock?
• Paint a paper plate yellow. Glue strips of paper or pasta around the edge for the sun's rays.
• Decorate a plastic cup. Punch a hole in the bottom, hang string and beads from it. Listen to it in the wind.
• Wear something green! Listen to songs about colors or "The Green Grass Grows All Around" song.
• Stretch rubber bands over an empty tissue box. Pluck them to make music.
