Welcome to Forsyth County Schools!

We are glad that you are joining our growing family. Forsyth County Schools has a centralized registration process and does not register students at individual schools. Registration is available at the Student Registration Building, located at 1140 Dahlonega Highway, Cumming, GA 30040.  This building is directly behind the Forsyth County Schools Board of Education.

NOTE: New student registration is currently taking place for the 2025-26 school year and ONLY kindergarten for the 2026-27 school year. New student registration for grades 1 - 12 for the 2026-27 school year will open on May 4th. Check back here occasionally in the event registration opens earlier.

Step One

Click here to complete the
pre-registration online form.

Make sure to write down your application number.  This number is located in the top right corner of the online registration page.  This number is utilized for returning to an incomplete registration form, and it will be used so that you can easily edit your online registration form. The application number and confirmation number are the same thing.

Step Two

Click here to make a
registration appointment.

  • Due to space limitations, we ask that only 1 parent attend the registration appointment.
  • Appointments open approximately 1 month at a time.
  • We offer only in-person registration appointments at this time.

  • Make sure to arrive at your registration appointment 5 minutes early with the required documents and your photo identification.  If you have not completed step 1, submitting the pre-registration online form, you will be asked to enter this information prior to meeting with a registrar.  Typical registration appointments are an hour.  Completing the pre-registration online form at the registration office will extend the length of your registration appointment time.
  • You will be advised if any documents are missing or need to be updated during your appointment. Missing/incomplete documents may be uploaded to your application or to the secure Student Registration upload link by clicking here.
