I’m looking forward a fantastic year working with 4th grade! I graduated from Forsyth County Schools before earning a bachelor’s degree in Child Development from the University of Georgia in 2012. Go Dawgs! I started my career working for Camp Twin Lakes, a non-profit that serves children with special needs, chronic illnesses, and other life challenges. After 6 years as a Camp Director and Program Coordinator, I married my husband, Steve, and we moved closer to home with our dog, Millie. I graduated from Reinhardt University with a Master’s degree in the Art of Teaching in 2018. This will be my 3rd year as a proud member of the Sawnee Family!

While I was born in Toledo, Ohio, I consider Georgia my home. My background includes: a Master's degree in Special Education and an undergraduate in Sociology, teaching students with Autism for 9 years, participating in a SCERTS study conducted by FSU, training in different methodologies for students with special needs including ABA: verbal behavior, discrete trials, and behavior modification. I am familiar with the ABLLS-R and GELDS assessments. I am also trained in Mindset techniques.
