I have taught fourth grade, second grade, and Interrelated Special Education. After graduating from UGA, I was a Camp Director at a non-profit for children with special needs and chronic illnesses. Aside from teaching, I enjoy singing, playing guitar, and writing music as well as kickboxing, running, and spending time with friends and family! I received my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Kennesaw State University and received my Master's degree in Special Education with a concentration in Autism from St. Joseph's University. While I was born in Toledo, Ohio, I consider Georgia my home. I currently hold an undergraduate degree in Special Education, a Masters degree in Social Work, and a Specialist degree in Educational Leadership. When I am not at school, I enjoy reading, shopping, running, and spending time with my family. I have two amazing boys, Jake and Nick, who surprise and delight me every day. My background includes: a Master's degree in Special Education and an undergraduate in Sociology, teaching students with Autism for 9 years, participating in a SCERTS study conducted by FSU, training in different methodologies for students with special needs including ABA: verbal behavior, discrete trials, and behavior modification. I am familiar with the ABLLS-R and GELDS assessments. I am also trained in Mindset techniques.
