I am very excited to get to know and support the students and families here at Settles Bridge. I graduated from Kennesaw State University with a degree in Early Childhood Education and taught grades K-5 for 7 years. While still teaching, I received my masters in Professional School Counseling from the University of West Alabama. I also have certifications in special education, ESOL, and a reading endorsement. I have been married to my husband for 7 years, who is a firefighter for Gwinnett County. We have a two-year-old son named Jackson and a black lab named Reagan. Although I am the main counselor for grades 1, 3, and 5, I am here to serve the entire school so please do not hesitate to reach out if I can help you in any way. I am honored to be part of Settles Bridge and look forward to a great year!
260280 firstname.lastname@example.org Megan Reimbold Media Specials I am very excited to work in the Media Center at Settles Bridge. Reading is a passion of mine and I believe, a gateway to success in life. My son, now a college sophmore, and daughter, in 12th grade, both attended Settles Bridge. I spent many of my years as a parent at SBE both volunteering and as a substitute teacher. This is my sixth year in the Media Center. Students in Grades 2 - 5 will visit the media center as part of their specials rotation to learn keyboarding skills, as well as to check out books. Grades K and 1st will visit the media center on a regular basis to check out books, and periodically as an extension of classroom activities. I truly enjoy working with all of our students here at Settles Bridge! 260142 email@example.com Sarah Rising Art
I have been teaching art at Settles Bridge for the last 11 years. Even though I started out working in marketing, sales, and graphic design, teaching art has been most rewarding. As a child, I knew that art was one of my passions and today I am putting that passion first. I graduated from Ohio University with a BFA in Education and Graphic Design. The teaching certificates I hold include Art K-12, Elementary K-5, Middle Grades Math & Language Arts and I have a Gifted Endorsement.
I believe the arts are important because it helps students build self-esteem by challenging them to find their inner artist. I like to offer students opportunities to explore various materials and introduce them to the artwork of artists and cultures from all around the world. Working in the arts develops confidence, critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills that build well-rounded, 21st century learners and leaders.
We moved here from Ohio over 15 years ago and am proud to say our four boys are all Forsyth County graduates. I enjoy spending lots of time with my family and friends and make time to create my own art any chance I get.
