Meet the Kindergarten Teachers
School Phone: (770) 888-7511
I am beginning my 5th year as a kindergarten teacher here at Sharon Elementary. Prior to teaching at Sharon I taught in the Richardson Independent School District outside of Dallas, TX. I worked as a 3rd grade teacher assistant for a year and then taught 1st grade for two years at Richland Elementary. I grew up in the Kennesaw area and went to the University of Georgia for college (Go Dawgs!). While there, I received my Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education. Also while at UGA I met my wonderful husband, Drew. We were married in July 2010 and moved out to Texas while my husband was attending seminary. After Drew graduated we decided to move back to Georgia to be closer to family and friends. I love playing with my puppy-Millie, baking, bike riding, running, making home projects, and spending time with my friends.
121136 Boone, Lisa I graduated from the University of Georgia in March of 1991 with a degree in Early Childhood Education. I was a substitute teacher in DeKalb County from March of 1991 until May 1991. I worked with children K-5. In the Fall of 1991 I began teaching at Woodridge Elementary in DeKalb County. I taught first grade there for 3 years, while working on my masters degree. I graduated from Georgia State University in the Spring of 1994 with a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education. At that point I began teaching in Gwinnett County at Rebecca Minor Elementary. I taught first grade there for 4 years. In 1998 I quit teaching full time to be home with my family. I stayed at home from 1998 until 2006. During those years I tutored children K-5 in all subject areas. I came on board at Sharon Elementary to teach Kindergarten in 2006. 121141 firstname.lastname@example.org Brown, Madeline I am so excited for another great school year at Sharon and another wonderful year of kindergarten! I grew up in the Atlanta area so Georgia really is home to me. I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education degreefrom the University of Georgia in 2015 (Go Dawgs!). I also have my ESOL endorsement and took part in Orton-Gillingham training this summer. From the time I was little I knew I wanted to be a teacher and as I got older I jumped at every opportunity to work with students and be in schools. During my time at UGA I was able to study abroad and teach English to Italian second graders. This was such an amazing experience and combined two of my favorite things: teaching and traveling! After graduating, I taught first grade for two years in Gwinnett County, then I joined the Sharon family and the kindergarten team! In my free time I enjoy cooking, spending time with family and friends, traveling and taking my two-year-old Golden Retriever, Banks, for walks and hikes. 121132 email@example.com Pritchett, Maria
I am so excited to start a great year at Sharon! I earned my Bachelors in Early Childhood Education from Auburn (War Eagle!) and have since completed my Gifted Endorsement as well as my Teacher Leadership Endorsement. I began my career teaching GA-Pre-K in a private day care, and then taught for two years in Fulton County before coming to Forsyth County. This is my sixth year in the county and teaching Kindergarten. I love teaching Kindergarten because it is the foundation for all other grades and every day is a new adventure! When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband Matt, watching SEC football, eating delicious food and cuddling with my fur-kids, Talon & Tux. I look forward to a great year of fun and learning with your child & family.
