    Madeline Brown Brown, Madeline

I am so excited for another great school year at Sharon and another wonderful year of kindergarten! I grew up in the Atlanta area so Georgia really is home to me. I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education degree from the University of Georgia in 2015 (Go Dawgs!). I also have my ESOL endorsement and took part in the Orton-Gillingham training last summer. From the time I was little, I knew I wanted to be a teacher and as I got older I jumped at every opportunity to work with students and be in schools. During my time at UGA, I was able to study abroad and teach English to second graders in Italy. This was such an amazing experience and combined two of my favorite things: teaching and traveling! After graduating, I taught first grade for two years in Gwinnett County. Then I joined the Sharon family and this will be my third year teaching kindergarten here at Sharon! In my free time, I enjoy cooking, spending time with family and friends, traveling and taking my two-year-old Golden Retriever, Banks, for walks and hikes.

    Mrs. ONeill O'Neill, Jennifer

My name is Jennifer O'Neill.  I am a Georgia native where I called Stone Mountain my home for 19 years.  After graduating from Stone Mountain High School, I followed in the footsteps of my two older brothers and attended the University of Georgia where I earned my degree in Early Childhood Education.  I taught kindergarten at Austin Elementary School in Dunwoody for five years.  Even though I loved my job, I decided to take a break and stay at home with my children.

I love to read, cook, vacation at the beach, spend time with my family, and watch both college football and the Atlanta Falcons.  I have been married for 25 years and have four beautiful children: Amanda (23-Project Analyst for RaceTrac), Johnathan (20-Georgia Tech), Jeffrey (17-Lambert High) and Olivia (14-South Forsyth Middle School).  I have been a Sharon parent since 2007 and was a substitute teacher from 2010-2013. This is my seventh year as an Instructional Assistant.
